Steve Mays, and Associate, is President and Chief Executive Officer of X2 Technologies. Prior to founding X2Technologies, he was the Director of Infrastructure Services for the technical consultancy of Semaphore Partners (a member of the Publicis family of companies). Steve has been responsible for meeting all external client needs for the strategy, design, and implementation of mission critical IT systems. Prior to joining Novo, Mr. Mays was the Chief Information Officer of Xamplify, where he was a key patent co-creator for a system for using psychological data to determine interfaces for Human Computer Interaction (HCI). Steve was also a co-founder and Director of Technology at Internet retailer gloss.com where he led the technology strategy, capital acquisition, and system design efforts.
Prior to his work at gloss.com, Mr. Mays spent five years engineering Internet product and e-commerce solutions as Manager of Online Operations for Broderbund and Cendant Software (comprised of Sierra Online, Blizzard and Knowledge Adventure), heading all Internet and Intranet operations at both companies. He also acted as Special Projects and IT Manager of Systems at Industrial Light and Magic for the films Twister and Men in Black, and was Head of IT for Bozell Worldwide Advertising's Southern California region.
Mr. Mays has more than twelve years of experience developing teams to build core IT systems in numerous fields, including international development, ebusiness, software, education, computer sales, environmental engineering and special effects.
